Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that air defense forces shot down or suppressed 56 out of 67 drones launched by Russia against Ukraine starting from the evening of May 7.

President Volodymyr Zelensky said that as of 7:00 on Friday, May 8, more than 140 strikes on frontline positions and 10 assault operations had been recorded. Russian forces also carried out more than 850 drone strikes using various types of UAVs.
