China calls for eliminating ‘root causes’ of war in Ukraine based on UN Charter principles

China has called on “all parties” to the war in Ukraine to resume negotiations, address the “root causes” of the conflict based on adherence to the principles of the UN Charter, and reach a comprehensive and binding peace agreement.
